Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ-2014

What makes Young Masterminds of Atlanta different from other summer camps?

We are not your typical summer babysitting service that simply provides snacks and goes on the occasional field trip. Our program of services aims to bridge the gap that exist between text book knowledge and applied life principles. The Young Masterminds will learn valuable concepts that will enhance their lives and extend far beyond the camp experience.

When does YMA's 2014 summer enrichment program start and end?

Our Morrow Campus is 6 weeks and runs from June 2 - July 11, 2014.

For our Sandy Springs location, there will be two 4-week sessions. Session 1: June 2 - June 27, 2014 and Session 2: June 30- July 25, 2014.

For detailed information about these sessions, please visit: http://www.ymatlanta.org/register-2014

What age group does YMA service?

Our summer enrichment program is for youth ages 6-14.

What is the cost of the YMA program? Are there any discounts available?

Tuition ranges from $120-$175 per week/per child, depending on location, and must be paid per session. We offer a 10% sibling tuition discount for 2 or more children, as long as they are both/all attending for the full session. Is an application fee or deposit required?

The deadline to register your child without penalty is Friday, May 16, 2014, afterwhich registration will then be $70 per child. However, our camp locations fill up fast and are strictly on a first come - first serve basis; afterwhich you will be placed on our waiting list and contacted should an opening become available.

*If your child will be attending the 2nd session at our Sandy Springs location, the deadline to register without penalty is Friday, June 20, 2014.

If your child will be taking medication while at camp, you are required to disclose that information at the time of registration. All medications must be given to one of the Camp Directors at check-in. The medication must be in original containers that identify, in English, your child's name, prescribing physician, name of the medication, dosage and frequency of administration.
